This Privacy Policy explains how Christian Quiñones, an independent freelance consultant operating as CQ Digital, collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you visit christianquinones.com (the “Site”) or engage my services. I am committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data transparently and lawfully.

This policy is designed to comply with the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) and, where applicable, the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.

As an independent freelance consultant, I act as the data controller responsible for determining how and why your personal data is processed in connection with this Site and my services.

02Information I Collect

I collect personal information in the following ways:

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

  • Contact form submissions: your name, email address, phone number, and any message content you submit.
  • Booking & consultation requests: scheduling details submitted when you book a call through my Calendly integration.
  • Direct correspondence: information you share when you email, call, or message me directly.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage & analytics data: pages visited, time on site, referring URLs, approximate location, device type, browser, and operating system.
  • Cookies & tracking technologies: identifiers placed by analytics and advertising tools (see Section 6).
  • Log data: IP address and standard server log information collected automatically by my hosting provider.

2.3 Information From Third Parties

When you interact with embedded tools or click through to platforms such as Calendly, LinkedIn, or my advertising channels, those services may share limited data with me in accordance with their own privacy policies.

03How I Use Your Information

I use the information I collect to:

  • Respond to your inquiries and provide the services you request;
  • Schedule and conduct consultations and project work;
  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Site and my services;
  • Analyze site traffic and user behavior to optimize content and performance;
  • Deliver and measure marketing and paid media campaigns;
  • Send service-related communications and, where you have consented, marketing updates;
  • Comply with legal obligations and protect against fraud or misuse.

04Legal Bases for Processing (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, I process your personal data under one or more of the following legal bases:

  • Consent — e.g., when you opt in to non-essential cookies or marketing communications;
  • Contract — to take steps at your request before entering into, or to perform, a service agreement;
  • Legitimate interests — to operate and improve the Site and understand how it is used, balanced against your rights;
  • Legal obligation — where processing is required to comply with applicable law.

05How I Share Your Information

I do not sell your personal information. I may share it with trusted third-party service providers who help me operate the Site and deliver services, including:

  • Hosting & infrastructure — my website hosting provider;
  • Scheduling — Calendly, for booking consultations;
  • Analytics — Google Analytics, to understand site usage;
  • Advertising — platforms such as Google Ads and Meta (Facebook) Pixel, to deliver and measure campaigns;
  • Email & communication tools — to manage correspondence and outreach.

These providers process data on my behalf under their own privacy and security commitments. I may also disclose information where required by law, to enforce my rights, or to protect the safety of any person.

06Cookies & Tracking Technologies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. I use them to make the Site function, remember your preferences, and understand how the Site is used. I use the following categories:

  • Essential cookies — required for the Site to function and cannot be switched off;
  • Analytics cookies — e.g., Google Analytics, to measure and improve performance;
  • Advertising cookies — e.g., Google Ads and Meta Pixel, to deliver relevant ads and measure campaign effectiveness.

You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings and, where I display a consent banner, through your stated preferences. Disabling certain cookies may affect how the Site functions. For more detail, see my Cookie Policy.

07Data Retention

I retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, including to satisfy any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. Contact and inquiry data is kept for the duration of our communications and a reasonable period thereafter; analytics data is retained according to the settings of the relevant analytics provider. When data is no longer needed, I securely delete or anonymize it.

08Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • The right to be informed about how your data is used;
  • The right to access the personal data I hold about you;
  • The right to rectify inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • The right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”);
  • The right to restrict or object to processing;
  • The right to data portability;
  • The right to withdraw consent at any time;
  • The right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act, you also hold the rights to be informed, to object, to access, to rectification, to erasure or blocking, to damages, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact me at chris@christianquinones.com. I will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.

09Data Security

I implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and I cannot guarantee absolute security.

10International Data Transfers

Because I serve clients internationally and rely on global service providers, your information may be processed in countries outside your own, including outside the EEA. Where I transfer data internationally, I take steps to ensure it remains protected in accordance with this policy and applicable law, including the use of appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses where required.

11Third-Party Links

The Site may contain links to external websites and platforms, including my social media profiles. I am not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third-party sites. I encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.

12Children’s Privacy

The Site is intended for a professional, adult audience and is not directed at children. I do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has provided me with personal data, please contact me so I can remove it.

13Changes to This Policy

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in my practices or legal requirements. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was most recently revised. I encourage you to review it periodically.
